Forgotten - Amelia's Story

Once Upon A Time, a toymaker from a magic realm, came to our world and opened a dainty little toyshop.

For a few centuries, parents came with their children,
who’s faces glowed with pure delight when they looked at the handmade wooden toys, trains, rocking horses and the beautiful Victorian dolls.

Especially Amelia, the wind-up ballerina doll, was every little girl’s dream,
even though she was not for sale, because the old toymaker could not find it in his heart to part with his most mesmerizing creation.

Amelia brought a smile, brighter than the sun, onto every little girls face, when their tiny hands turned the key in Amelia’s back, and made her dance like only a ballerina could.

But now, centuries had passed, and times had changed.

The huge modern toy store further down the road, had transformed the old little toy shop into a forgotten place.

Now the toymaker filled his days by sitting in his cozy chair, staring out the window of his little shop.

He sighed and looked at his beautiful creations, all neatly seated on the shelfs.

He gazed at Amelia, sitting on the counter, as she had always done.

But he did not see the sparkle in the pretty ballerina’s eyes.
A sparkle of hope, that one day, once more, a little girl would walk into the tiny toyshop,
to turn the key in Amelia’s back, and make her dance again.
